I'm signing up for a second year here in Korea. I'm switching to a new job (from one university to a different university). I'm American, and I already got the new FBI background check.

The first time I submitted all of my documents, I gave immigration an apostilled copy of my diploma. Do I need to get another copy of it apostilled, or will the copy from last year that they (hopefully) have on file be sufficient?

My new school has told me that I need to take care of renewing my visa myself. I've tried to find a list of documents that I need on the immigration website, but I'm having a hard time navigating it. Does anyone know what I need to do to renew in addition to the apostilles/background checks?

Thanks!

Not sure if Atlanta is your consulate, BUT the procedure is all here on their site. I imagine it's the exact same, you just have a different office you report to.

Scroll down for the section on the E-2.

Not renewing - transferring to a new employer.

You need:
passport
ARC
Application
fee
copy of your new contract
copy of your new school's business registration
letter of guarantee (sponsorship form) from your new school.

If they have apostilled copies of your documents on file you should not have to re-submit them.
