Anyone know of a way to stream English Disney Junior in Korea? They just changed to all Korean. My son is heart broken.

I don't mind paying if there is some kind of on-demand subscription.

Thanks

I'd like to know the answer to this too. Little one has been looking forward to watching Jake and the Pirates for weeks.

The Disney Channel(s) were in English (now in Korean) until July 1st and July 11th, respectively.

Looking for confirmation that Skylife is still broadcasting the English (undubbed) versions of the shows.

Thanks in advance.

This was mentioned in Off-Topic section...

On C&M Cable, follow these steps to return the Disney Channel to English:

1. Open the main menu.

2. Select the last menu (간편도우미)

3. On the next menu, choose the third option (환경설정)

4. On the next menu, choose the 15th option (음성다중설정) - you'll have to scroll down to find it.

5. On the next page, choose the second option (외국어) and the remember to hit save (저장).

Presto! Disney Junior in English again! Not sure if it'll affect other channels or not...

Good luck!

If ya try it, post back here to tell the results.

No luck here. It claimed to have changed the setting, but it's all still in Korean.

It only works if the show was originally done in English. When I tried earlier, the show was Secret Agent Oso (don't watch it, it just happened to be on). It was in Korean, but after changing the language setting, it was in English. However, now Porroro is on. Since it's originally recorded in Korean, changing the language setting won't work.

The wife works for Skylife, she confirmed it last night. She said they have been getting alot of complaints from Koreans and English speakers about it.

I seriously doubt that will change any decision they made to broadcast the dubbed Korean versions of shows..but you never know.

That answers my question on the off topic thread as well. However, I did try it at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse first with no success. Here's hoping I have the same luck you did. Regardless, I appreciate your posts on this problem.

My boy is only two and watches other shows in Korean, but he's actually started to refuse watching all the Disney shows that he used to love since the switch. Weird!

*edit*
It was a Mickey commercial, but I think it might have been at the end of Dibo. I'll check in over the course of the day and hopefully confirm Confused Canadian's findings.

I had to wait for awhile for an English show, but I can confirm that it does work for C&M. However, you need to reset it every time you turn the TV on and off or change the channel, at least with my box.

I did some testing and was able to switch a show to English on Cartoon Network as well, but not Nick. Thanks to Confused Canadian for helping me keep the TV in my home English friendly.

I don't even mind the dubbed shows as much as I mind some of the content that they substitute on the Discovery Korea channel. I don't have anything against the programming that they put on, but if I want to see documentaries focusing on Korean life I've already got 50 other channels I can get that on. Why put it on the one channel that used to carry alternatives?
