Hi,
I'm currently living in the Hyehwa area and looking for a new gym. My old gym might be the best gym and best deal in Korea, but, unfortunately, it is too far away now that I've moved.

I'm currently looking for a new job and so don't know exactly where I'll be living in September, so a monthly rate would be good. I don't mind traveling to a good gym -- up to half an hour or a little more, but my favorite gym is now an hour and 20 minutes from where I live. Obviously, too far.

Thanks.

The governor of Hyehwa will be along shortly to assist you.

Give me the chips.

There are at least a dozen gyms within the Hyehwa/Daehangno area. It seems like you've been here awhile, how about doing a Naver search?

My school's in Hyehwa, there's a nice looking gym right next to exit 1, above the bennigan's i think. You can't miss the advertisements on the street, and they're out there handing out fliers a lot of times. Never been inside, tho, i'm not much of a gym person myself.

Thanks for those directions. I'll check it out. Getting into being a "gym person" can require a lot of effort and motivation to achieve. It took me many months to make a habit of it at my old gym. It became an integral part of my fat loss project and now I've decreased my body fat percentage from 28% to 21% (10 to 20% is the healthy range for males). Now I want to find a new place that's closer pretty soon so that I don't get out of the habit. In the meantime, I have revived an old and fun aerobic pursuit which I can go out to every night now that I've living in Seoul -- swing-lindy hop-charleston dancing.

There's a very friendly, welcoming swing dance scene here in Seoul wherein you don't need to come with a partner and can dance to uptempo music for hours. Everyone changes partners after every dance. 5,000won to get in and no other expenses since the only thing dancers drink at these events is water.

Cheers.
