Hypothetically speaking... if one were to run up a phone bill with one of the major telephone companies to several million won after leaving Korea, and never pay that bill, what problems might that person have if he returned to Korea several years later? |

hypothetically speaking i would say none, really what are they going to do? chase after you to america for a couple thousands. It would cost them that much more to do all and try to get a hold of you to take care of it. of course it would be a D!cK move, but that is based on morality of course lol |

Hypothetically? Some other foreigners would beat you severely for not owning up to your responsibilities. How would you feel if you owned a business and had a foreigner come and steal (that's what it is, theft) your goods and services, then ran off? Would you be friendly towards other foreigners in the future? Hypothetically, grow up.
The odds of anything happening are pretty slim. They'd write you off as a loss and that would probably be the end of it. However, since your ARC number never changes, you'd never be able to sign up with them again, or else they'd catch you. They may share the information with other companies, could report it to the government, depending on how much it is and what they do in the future. |

How would you like to have a collection agency calling your house and workplace?
This could happen if the telecom sells your debt to a third party collection agency. |

some foreigners will beat him up? that would be silly. beating someone up is worse than stealing from a large company. |

Well worse case scenario is you will be given a black mark on your record. Hey I have heard of people be refused entry into Korea for parking tickets until they paid up. Through that is government and they will always get their money versus a company who can do possible legal hassles. |

I'd say both are equally bad.
The idea that it is "okay" to steal from a large company is a sign of a juvenile, delinquent mind. |
