We're thinking of getting a hybrid car. Anyone have any experience of buying one in Korea? Or anywhere?
Are they easy to maintain? Is it true they need to go to special places to be repaired etc.?
Any info help/insight would be great.
Cheers all! |

I don't know if this is true for all hybrids (or if it is still true for the Prius), but the A/C on the original Prius did not work when the car was running on the electric motor.
I have a trip computer in my car and I average 13 MPH driving in Seoul. Yep, 13 MPH! Gotta love Korean traffic. I think most hybrid cars use the electric motor when under 10 or 15 MPH, so if the A/C thing is still true, you'd be driving around a lot with the A/C off and the windows open. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.
Again, I don't know if this is still true, but I would be sure to ask about this before buying. |

Hybrids
- You're basically paying gas in advance.
- Most often you have to drive an ugly car.
- I heard once the battery dies, it cost a lot of money.
The benefits:
- You don't have to go to the gas station as often.
