|
|
I used to get my suits made in a place near Chungaechun (and shirts at Hamilton's), but have recently relocated South of the Han.
I was a bit worried about the potential for higher prices in Gangnam, but found this one place that seemed to be having a sale.
The place is called Parrish (exit 6, Yeoksam stn) and the manager there speaks English fairly well.
I bought 2 suits (jacket, pants), 4 shirts, and a tie for 700,000won.
Now, I'm not going to say that that is an amazing deal, but I really didn't want to travel far to get these made.
Obviously, I don't work for these ppl and will get nothing out of it if you go there, just thought maybe I could pass this on and I was quite happy with the suits they made.

You should have gone to the area around the Westin Chosun Hotel and paid the same money to get a better suit. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that in Gangbuk, North of the Han?
I said in the OP that I didn't want to shop north of the Han and that I wanted to shop in Gangnam because I work here. It's customary to visit a tailor three times when ordering a suit, right? Once to place the order and get measured. Once for a fitting. And once for pick up.
Three trips an hour or more out of my way.... That's why I posted this about buying in/near Gangnam. |

Well, you'll have to ask around about tailors but the place you got your suits made probably had them done at the same place many other tailors north of the Han River use, but I could be wrong. |

I'm confused as to what you're getting at though.
I've seen a number of threads on here talking about getting suits made. All of them were north of the Han. I had a surprisingly good experience in Gangnam.
What does where they had it made come into that? |
