I wouldn't live there. The city center is a run-down craphole with nothing to do. The Daecheon Beach area is nice but there's very, very little to do other than go to the beach.
As for visiting, Daecheon Beach is nice, but definitely not the best beach ever. You can eat delicious seafood near the beach. There's a small waterpark, but why would you bother with that with the beach so close by? Next to the waterpark there are a couple of small carnival rides that look like they might break at any moment.
Again, don't bother visiting the Boryeong City Center expect passing through the bus terminal or train station. Nothing to see or do there.
I haven't lived in Boryoeng, but I have visited several times (I just got back from the mud festival there, for which I organized a trip). |
