Second the jeon/makkeoli combo. Been on a bit of a kick with that lately.
Not for everybody, but samgyeopsal and soju are a classic 1-2 punch of mixed blessings. |

Hite with an orange section or two in the glass.
San Miguel on ice with those styrofoam tube things.
I've heard Daetongsool and dried squid is great, but I can't stand dried squid.
Jeon/Kimchi Fried Rice and Magkeoli is great as mentioned.
Soju is very good with Korean food, especially spicy food, if you "sip it". |

Any real Italian food that involves beef or pork with a good red. Bit of decent bread and good cheese on the side. Awesome. I'm sure chicken or fish would go equally well with a good white, but I don't like white wine or fish. |

Bellini cupcakes. Why bother with food and drinks when you can combine? |

A recommended day's worth of meals:
BREAKFAST: a veggie omelet with a glass of whole milk
LUNCH: a parmesan spinach salad with freshly squeezed lemonade
DINNER: a hot pepper beef stirfry with dry red wine (e.g., Pinot Noir)
SNACK: cubes of cheddar, pepperoni and fresh green onion munched on with a cup of hot chamomile tea
These are typical examples of the four of the six daily minimeals I've been eating for three months, losing 50+ pounds in the process, yet getting a lot of nutrition without sugar or carb loading. Yummy and nutritious! |

yeah, someone else kinda freaked me out because i love REAL Italian food and i've adjusted to not ever having a really good slice of Pizza (honestly the Best slice is in New York City)
i remember someone saying Italian food being too sweet and i think i could adjust to that but finding a good red + meat every now & then would be a huge plus |

Eggs and milk? That's too much for me, but I've met quite a few people from the Southern states who like that combo.
red wine and pizza
any Indian dish with a mango lassi
beer with really salty peanuts - But I don't want any food if I'm drinking a Paulaner. That beer is so good, I don't like any snacks to get in the way of the flavor.
four fried chickens and a coke (goes well with white bread - dry) |

How about the timeless classic (in the UK anyway) of 8 pints of Wife Beater (or Stella Artois as it is also known), and a large doner kebab "wiv everyfing".
Whole council estates in Liverpool have been raised on this diet for generations. |

Breakfast ideas:
Bowl of oatmeal with added walnuts, raisins, flaxseed(Omegas), almonds and occaisonal frozen strawberries paired with a glass of fresh juice - 2/3 apple w/ cucumber, kale, celery, carrot, and tomato all juiced in the juicer.
Omeletes (egg whites only with sauteed mushrooms, onions, green/red peppers and jalapeno) are best with fresh-squeezed orange, especially in the colder months.
A whole wheat bagel spread with a teaspoon of peanut butter for added protein. Serve with grapefruit or make it grapefruit juice to correspond to the thread title. |

Om nom. This thread is full of win.
For non-alcoholic combos, I an in love with coffee and carbs (sweet baked goods excl. those with chocolate). Want alcohol? Add whiskey, duh! ^^
I have nothing original to add, but the classics are classic for a reason, right? |
