Hi! My girlfriend and I live in Seoul, and we would love to adopt an English bulldog. We both love the breed, and would rather adopt than buy one from the pet stores in Seoul (as we have heard less than encouraging things about these types of shops). Anyway, if anyone has any advice or information about getting and English bulldog, it would be greatly appreciated.
PS. we have also posted on ARK (animal rescue Korea).
Many Thanks! |

| Ha, good luck. Your chances of finding one of these to adopt even in the US would be slim to none. |

| Okaaay thanks. Well we have found a few already. Thanks for the cynicism. Also, there is a website for adopting bulldogs in the USA, not really sure what you are talking about. |

In all fairness this is correct. Anyways, why adopt? I bought my bully almost three years ago as a pup for W500,000. They are soooo much cheaper here. If you're interested I could find the breeders website again. |

OP Check craigslist and http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/
Craigslist has them from time to time. Usually US military wanting to re-home.
On http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/ there is one named Harley and she has been re-homed twice and looking for her forever home. My friend is fostering her now.
Just make sure you read the flight restriction on these breeds. They can be difficult to travel with because of heat and breed restrictions.
Glad you're adopting. |

You should always adopt if you have the opportunity. For every dog purchased from a breeder, a dog in a pound is put down. The "adoption fee" is still significantly less than what you would pay from a breeder, even if that is considered to be a good price. |
