Hello. Does anyone know about any aerial dance classes in Korea?
I've been learning aerial silks and sling, but anything that gets me in the air would be great. It's all awesome and I'd be happy with pretty much any of the aerial arts: trapeze, hoop, corde lisse, Spanish web, whatever.
So far, the only lead I have is a dance studio in Seoul that seems to mostly do pole dance. http://www.jkpole.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=caln They mention aerial on their schedule, but their website seems pretty skimpy on info. (I can't read Korean, so maybe that's my problem. Google Translate doesn't seem to turn up anything useful.)
Anyways, does anyone here know any studios or gyms with aerial? Thanks! |

I wish! I did trapeze in the States. If anyone knows anything in the Busan area, let me know...but I'm not hopeful. :3 |

I've been doing a big of digging around the internet with a search key of : 공중 그네 서울 (trapeze and Seoul)
No luck on a school so far, but I did find this article: http://news.sportsseoul.com/read/sports/900552.htm
The Google translation is pretty mangled, but it's clear that she's doing an aerial sling act. Someone had to train her, so I'll continue to dig around. |

Looks like the previously mentioned JK Pole offers aerial hoop classes. Hurray! |

Hurray! The owner of JK Pole just contacted me. It seems that they teach aerial silks, as well as hoop. Their ceiling is kind of short (<4m), so most drops are probably out, but most static poses should be totally doable. |
