28 Weeks Later is epic! The beginning cutscene was rad, and remember when he kissed his wife, contracted the virus, and then proceeded to murder her by shoving his thumbs in her eye sockets down to the knuckle?

So tragic. SO great.

There are several films already mentioned that are on my favourites list, but I would like to add four more that haven't been brough up:

---Finding Nemo.

---Donnie Darko.

---District 9 (could have used a better later bit, but still)

---Avatar HEAR ME OUT: First 3D film I saw. Amazing. One of the best movie-going experiences I've ever had because it almost literally took me away to another world.

I also kind of want to include Flight 93, but it was painful to watch. And Children of Men which I know is facing a backlash now. There's probably more.

I saw Troll Hunter at PIFAN yesterday. Awesome movie! You view if from the 'cam' perpective. Kinda like Blair Witch project, but with trolls!

A few more (more recent).

The Last Circus (Spain).
Colin (UK zombie flick)
Prophet (France)

It was superb watching Battle Royale on the big screen again yesterday!

battle royale was the most overrated movie ive seen in recent years. you could tell that the only people who like it were the japanophiles who wore dragonball z tshirts in high school.

old boy? great film, and I am Koreas biggest skeptic when it comes to how bad the movies are here (ie the host).

my pick? Hero, directed by yimou zhang starring jet li. the best wuxia film out there. great use of colors, cinematography, and plot development

everybody mentions oldboy but has anyone seen the other 2 parts of the vengence trilogy? they both make my list

Sympathy for Mr. Vengence
Oldboy
Symapathy for Lady vengence

also Thirst was an awesome vampire movie and i loved how it focused on a priest being a man of God but fighting the urge to become a devil.

I really like Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, but I didn't find it as enthralling as Oldboy. I wasn't a big fan of Mr. Vengeance.

i mean it wasnt the beast oldboy was but i did like the brutality of it. i loved how he made the mute kidnapper walk in the stream then cut his ankles. and then he was target of "the group". so many twists and turns in all three.

Old Boy was horrible. Piss poor acting and a ridiculous story line. The ending and overacting therein was cringe worthy.
