Hey, wondering if anyone might have some info on this topic.
Does anyone know where (if anywhere) someone might be able to find something like this in Seoul:
http://www.mcbub.com/item/136482?ql=243c4aea76887056ba3fa07a32ee9866
I'm interested in buying them in bulk, so looking for an equal/lesser price, of course. I know I could buy them in China and I understand how expensive electronics are here, but I'm curious about where I might be able to at least look for a retailer, or wholesaler for that matter, in Seoul. The two off-brands I'm looking for are Aishuo and HeroTab. Thanks. |

You might think you could make a killing off of this grand idea, but let me assure you, if it were possible, it would already have been done.
One thing I discovered with one of these cheap tablets running Android is just because they are running a newer version of Android DOES NOT guarantee that they will do things like run flash or even Youtube videos!
Sure, they might surf (slowly), but there is a lot more to it than that, including support.
Here's an example:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11528791
I bought one of these in the USA, and returned it within 2 hours. I had even updated it to Android 2.2, however it was not compatible with the Android market. NO flash capability (not a surprise), however it was a huge disappointment that it was unable to play Youtube videos. Radio Shack was very sneaky in my hometown, and won't turn on the wifi to let you test this tablet first. And they charged a 15 percent restocking fee, which I managed to get around.
They market it as an "E-Reader tablet" with full Android, etc., but as is the big thing Android has changed with the newest version, there are minimum specs that must be met to have Android. The old version can be put on machines with lower specs.
Avoid the cheap cheap Chinese imports. They can't be any better. I think you might end up with a pile of junk you can't sell without being dishonest, and out a whole lot of cash while begging people to buy them. |

I understand what you're saying and I'm aware of the e-reader label. This wasn't my idea though, I simply know someone who wants to buy some of them. There is little to no expense for me. This is brief brief because I have to go right now, sorry.
Would Yongsan be my best bet? |
