| I was just wondering what the options are aside from the stereotypical expensive fancy dinner. |

theres a gigantic park near my house the is completely unknown by foreigners. one of my secrets of seoul. i love taking my girlfriend there and having a nice walk, maybe sitting down and having a picnic when its cool. you dont have to spend big bucks to be romantic.
my last k girl i took her to her favorite park and surprised her with italian wine, european cheese, and wine glasses from the daiso. she said no one had ever done anything like that before, probably because korean guys are only interested in one thing. it was her birthday and lets just say i wasnt the only one happy that night
there are also a grip of free tours in this city. english offered on the website as well. surprise her with a tour you scheduled in advance and see something cool, for the low price of free. hell im taking my girlfriend for a free tour this weekend, and hiking the next day. having a beautiful girlfriend that doesnt care about money helps, but according to the losers on daves those kgirls dont exist lol |

yeah the place where you bought the cheese was pretty happy because cheese in korea is expensive as hell! lol
take her to the movies, a nice quiet little cafe. there is a place in gangnam, if you go on the back/side roads there are plenty of quaint little cafes there. i would say a walk in the park, but its so damn hot, unless u do that in the evening. if she is comfortable being at your place, make her dinner, be romantic. go to the park and look at stars at night (if you can find a good spot for them) things of that nature. every girl wants a nice romantic guy but they wont admit that |

I bought the cheese in emart. They sell a bag of little variety packets imported for something like 7k won. Wasn't too bad, and definitely the way to go as opposed to taking out a brick of cheese at the park. hell the wine wasn't even expensive either for being wine... if you know what she's into you're good
now's the time to take your girl to a park at night. last night was perfect, felt like freaking san diego, and there were tons of couples just sprawled out on the grass having a beer. |

| Take her shopping at Shinsaegae. That's what Korean women really want. |

Ah yes, nothing like staring at traffic and crummy apartment building to put her in the mood.
OP, you'll find Korean girls expect and enjoy the stereotypical dates. Everything in Korea is a cliche'. But this also makes it stupid easy to date. Just go on auto pilot. Dinner, movie, coffee with cheesecake, your apartment. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.
Remember, Korean girls don't do a lot of dating in high school and the first year or two of university like we do. Around the time they graduate uni and get jobs is really when they get out and about with men. So the old tactics that seem worn out on a Western girl are new and exciting to her. When they aren't cramming for one exam or another in school, K-girls get their foreign culture fix from cheesy, overdone, American rom-coms. So indulge her. Make her feel like she's in the opening half of every silly Drew Barrymore or Hugh Grant film she's seen. She'll eat it up. You don't have to try too hard or go out of your way to plan some magical romantic evening.
It's either that or go the "group date" routine the locals follow. In their early years, Koreans date when a group of male friends meet a group of female friends for galbi and soju. I've been on a few of these and they're not so bad - as long as your'e not the only foreigner or at least your Korean is up to snuff. You could have been dating the same girl for months, but you'll see a totally different side of her around her friends and her friend's friends. It could be fun. But don't try to be your normal touchy feely kind of of self though. On the "group date" scenario, even holding hands separates you from the herd, which is the opposite of what you're going for. |

+1 I've been inside that noodle looking thing and looking back who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to face the traffic instead of the Han? |

That's why I snapped the photo. Couldn't believe it was set up that way, and couldn't believe a young couple actually sat there looking in that direction. I think that would be the perfect place to take a girl/guy to when you were planning to break up. "Ah, see that view? It kind reminds me of this relationship..." |

Did she dump you straight after she finished all of the free cheese and wine? |

I'm gonna write down all these great locations... "a park near my house"... "a place in Gangnam". I might even been there already! Since I'm a helpful person, I add my own favourites: That great little bistro in Apgujeong, the beautiful, quiet and well hidden romantic pool in East Seoul, and of course - always a winner - that Italian restaurant in the building with a great view form a high floor! Might want to make that a sticky.
Since I was recently disappointed, I could also say that one decent Louis Vuitton bag is worth a dozen fancy dinners |

your post lost all credibility with "the beautiful, quiet and well hidden romantic pool in East Seoul"
Do you enjoy contradicting yourself here? |
