I'm dying for some delicious Italian food. Does it exist here? Seems hard enough to find decent pizza.
I live in Bundang, near Migeum. Does Jeongja have anything? Or should I try Itaewon? |

there is no good italian food in korea. anyone who says otherwise probably went to the olive garden wearing cowboy boots with their family to celebrate uncle jimbo getting out of prison.
the closest place to good italian food is japan. then hong kong. |

This place is good: http://www.seouleats.com/2010/02/fine-italian-food-at-jina-and-franco.html
I'll also give a shout out to Touche in Chungdahm, though I think it's a bit pricier. |

Every Italian restaurant I've been to in Korea serves pickles with every meal. Just like how Chinese food is changed to please the locals in whatever country it happens to go to, so is Italian food here. |

those pickles are nasty. then again I know better than to compare Katz and Carnegie Deli to some dump in Itaewon: it's not even worth it. |

When I lived in Jeongja a couple of years ago there were a few places on Cafe street that tried to be Italian, but their food was awful. For good Italian food in Korea your best bet is to head to Itaewon and visit one of Sortino's restaurants. |

behind Emart in Jukjeon station, just past ORI Station is a place called
BOJEONG, there you will find a cafe street, famous for cafes and restaurants
there you will find a restaurant called BORBONI
it's owned by an Italian guy, and has 3 Italian Chefs in there.
the food has been koreannized a bit.. but still Italian..
it's about 10 minutes from Miguem St. |
