50lbs x 2 bags NOT 1 bag! so technically it is 46kg. |

Continental allowed me two 40 pound bags.. so whatever kg that is, but if you're flying Continental, I suppose you're only interested in pounds
Was $200 extra for being over in one (nearly 70 lbs).. had I been over 70, it would have either been refused or $400 for the 1 bag..
the combined total wasn't important, it was each individual bag.. ie. one at 50 and one at 55 means BOTH are over, and pay for BOTH.. one at 40 and one at 65 meant ONE was over, and paid for ONE..
don't ask me, it's their rules.. other airlines differ |

Oh wow...Americans get 50kg allowance?? Struggling with my paltry 20kg (I leave tomorrow for SK).
Don't worry about leaving things behind...just think of the things you WILL BE BUYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Don't send too much unless you plan on living in S. Korea forever. It costs a lot to send back everything that you accumulate. A small box (don't know the dimensions) through Korea post can cost close to 100,000 KRW (according to my American friend that just sent one back home). Imagine sending several of these back home. It could become quite expensive. |

there was nothing funnier than turning up on JET as a brit with my teensy tiny luggage allowance and meeting people who had brought their entire bed set. Duvet, pillows and sheets. It was pure ludicrous. Of course we judged them for it |

Haha, somehow I forsee myself spending way too much on boxes to ship my stuff home from time to time. Whereabouts are you heading??
Hey--sorry for the delay in reply. I'm in Incheon
I ended up being 8kg over with my luggage (I brought 8 pairs of shoes), but they only charged me for 4kg so it was fine.
Haven't shopped yet...I love looking probably even more than spending and there are some amazing things for sale here!!!!!!!! |
