Still not to shabby, considering that this month alone China had a highway that collapsed within two days of being built, a bridge that collapsed because a heavy truck tried to cross it, and a bullet train that crashed because of a power outage.

--------------------------

You definitely will want to think twice before covering up with a blanket the next time you board a plane.

As an undercover investigation by a few Beijing Times reporters has revealed, only one out of five blankets that are being used on board one of China's biggest airlines is likely to have been washed. The rest are simply repackaged and sent back to the planes for reuse.

Here's what the reporters found at the Yingtailong Airline Commodity, which has been contracted by the unnamed airline for the laundry service:

...in a 400 square-meter factory, only three washing machines were functioning with around 30 workers.

Every day the company gets about 3,000 blankets from airline companies with only 500 to 600 actually get washed.Workers check the blankets and only those found to have visible stains are washed despite the airline company having a contract to clean all.

When asked why all the pieces are not washed, a worker explained "therere only 3 machines, how could we wash them all?"

I'm prepared to give more slack to the relatively low-paid worker with inadequate tools than to the relatively high-paid worker with ample education that still doesn't know the difference between "to" and "too".

You got all that from me making one of the most common typos around? Have you considered a moonlighting as a CSI? You could use the extra money to pay someone to teach you the proper usage between "who" versus "that." Laughing

In other news stories, 1 in 4 Chinese eat their young.

Don't ask me for proof though. You only need believe me because I posted it. We don't need links in this thread.

Who?

We just like to see you do some work in between sitting on your butt in your "8 bedroom house" and driving your BMW's in California. *laugh*
