|
|
I have a problem with my TEFL certificate and was wondering if anyone has any advice or similar experience...
Basically my TEFL is from Mexico and so is in Spanish, I have a graduation letter from the TEFL school which is in English and I also have a letter of recomendation in English which EPIK have.
So my recruiter told me the other day that I now need the TEFL certificate to be translated into English and i explained this would be difficult as i accidently sent the original to Korea and so now need a new copy from Mexico.
Basically I thought from what my recruiter told me that the letter in English and the TEFL cert would be ok and at the last minute it seems either EPIK or the recruiter changed their mind and decided it wasnt ok. Then she said it should be ok just bring a translated version with you when you come...
So basically i am confused as to whether i will be accepted onto the program and what the exact requirement is from EPIK !! Please help !! |

Did you already get your NoA and contract? |

If your applying for Seoul. EPIK needs a PDF copy of the TEFL certificate by July 29th (possibly earlier if your going through a recruiter).
I am not sure on how your situation is because you sent them your original TEFL that they wanted to get translated.
If anything I would try to get the thing translated and have them send you a PDF copy to send to EPIK.
You can bring your original and deliver it to SMOE before (and possibly after) orientation.
Since you didn't get any confirmation on if you even got accepted into SMOE yet, they are either...
A) Waiting for your TEFL to be submitted by the date listed above before even thinking about accepting you OR...
B) They accepted your un-translated TEFL for the documentation process and haven't quite got to you yet. |

Yes basically they have my original TEFL and the letter in English so I have asked them to send me a copy of my TEFL cert which I will then get translated into English and bring that with me.. but it will not be apostled because I can only apostle the original in Mexico which i cant do because EPIK have it.
So if all goes to plan when i arrive I will have the original letter in English, a translation of the TEFL certificate and they will have the original SPanish TEFL certificate issued by the Mexican government. Do you think this will be accepted ? My recomendation letter is also in English and from the TEFL issuing school so it is 100% obvious that I am not forging anything..
Well Thats what I would hope but now I am starting to really worry because i dont want to have to start the whole process again and lose all my documents with EPIK. |

If they dont accept it and I basically lose out on the EPIK job how fast and how easy is it to gain another job possibly at a PS starting in Aug / Sept ?? Will I have any documents returned and do you require all the same ones to work in a private school ?? |
