Could anyone give me an update on the current rules for ARC applications? Most online info for visas and arc is for hagwon workers

First question: for a public school employee what do i need to bring to immi? Do i need anything beyond my passport and photos and revenue stamps and form and medical report? There is no business number obviously but do i need to bring my contract?

Second: the hospital check must be from an approved list. Must the hospital be also in my home province?

Third: how long of a wait these days for urine and blood results?

Fourth: do we still need to apply for arcs in our home province?

I ask because i am entering korea before my contract starts to reactivate my old bank accounts and cell phone and get my hospital check and hang with buds in seoul. I would like to do as much in seoul as possible. Sorry for the lackluster writing...im on an ipod because my old laptop is fried.

Thanks for the feedback!

There is NO difference between a hagwan worker and a PS worker when it comes to getting an ARC.

Yes, the school DOES have a business registration and YES you do need to take a copy (in addition to the confirmation of employment, medical, passport, photo, application, fee and your passport).

2) NO. Any immigration approved Korean government hospital will do but it has to be done AFTER you commence work.

3) Depends on the hospital.

4) you need to apply for your ARC at the kimmi office that has jurisdiction over your place of residence.

Thanks for the info. About the medical results i was thinking in terms of how many days? Im just concerned that the new rules are making the hospitals swamped with foreigners all going to the same ones now
