...not by teaching privates.

I want/need to supplement my income a bit. I'm not looking for thousands of extra dollars a month, but a hundred or two would certainly help. I just have debt that I'm tired of having and on my current salary, living expenses, savings, and investments... it's just going to follow me for a while.

I don't want to teach privates (as I have done that before and it's more hassle than it's worth - also, I don't want to violate my visa.) So I'm looking for something in the "gray" area of legality. I've looked into setting up a ladder account with treasury bills month-to-month, but at current interest rates, it's not worth it. I've also looked into these sites where you answer surveys for cash, not sure how that works though. I've read about something called swagbucks where you earn points online and then can spend that on stuff like music downloads or deals for online shopping. That's not earning money, but I could use the money I'm saving from that to spend on other things.

So, anyone know a way to earn a little extra side income without violating your visa outright?

stop buying music downloads each month and it's like you're earning money

do you really need legal music that badly to where you'll get another job to get it?

can't you add an extra work place to your visa with your employers permission?
Work as an employee in a company that arranges tutoring, that way you can keep it legal,

I wouldn't of thought earning points would be illegal, surveys for cash would be extra income but usually you need to give I.D for tax purposes so you may get caught out.

If your mechanically minded, you could buy and sell cars, there's an annual limit before your classed as a dealer, but your only looking for a few extra bucks.

You could import protein shake / powder stuff? always seems to be a popular topic here, people looking to buy the stuff.

Earning income online that is deposited to an American bank account is "gray" at worst. It doesn't violate the visa. Visa law states "earning money in Korea" outside of your job is illegal. No one of authority here could ever prove I earned money if it all went to an American account.

There are a few reasons I do it legally. One is for quality. I used to use limewire and kazaa before that, but so often I'd get crap copies and ones with glitches or even trojans. It's not worth it anymore. Plus, police have begun cracking down on everyone using illegal download sites, I don't want to take the chance. Plus, the music is just one part, the points can be used for clothing, household products, and other every day items I'd have to buy anyway.

Yes, but adding a whole extra job, even part time is out of the question. My work now drains me. I want something I can do on my own time. I can be a night owl at times, so earning a few bucks at 2am or 3am would fit my lifestyle well. 3 or 4 hours at another job with a whole set of new responsibilities and administration work is too much.
