This.

Not your business, don't get involved, you'll only get in trouble, don't get involved.

Agreed. At least you did something.

This is not a slave country. She is free to leave the guy at anytime or call the cops herself when the abuser is not around.

Calling the Korean police is an unnecessary step. You could achieve the same result by doing absolutely nothing, and it takes less time.

Right, because abusive relationships are always that simple...

The current trend seems to sneakily film the event. Then put it on YouTube and the public shame (if it goes viral) will punish the perpitrator more than anything else.

Yes, call the cops.

I never said they were. I said she has options herself. That she chooses for whatever reasons not to take them is her decision.

For all your past bravado talk and you couldn't man up and go out and save that poor Korean girl tsk.......

Interestingly, in another thread he derided the OP for pushing a guy who was beating a girl, even calling him tool and douche bag, and now he's in a very similar situation. Ironic.

He couldn't man up to do anything even WITH a big guy in his corner. Let's hope they AT LEAST called the cops.

Not to mention I don't know how anyone could just go to a computer and ask for advice for what to do when someone is screaming for help outside their door.

He is clearly trolling.

I like these kinds of solutions.

Best way to stop crazy is to be crazier.

Open the door and take a dump right there in the hallway or something. Or have you and your friend put on some act and start fighting each other. Or 'drunkenly' singing, or majorly bite the bullet and make out right in front of them (its to save a life...)

Just because someone claims not be be a troll... doesn't mean that they aren't a troll.

I agree with the above poster. Who the hell goes to their computer and asks for advice on an internet forum when there is an assault going on outside their apartment.

A mix of panic, cowardice, lack of moral fibre, and selfishness? Remember that the main argument against actively helping the beaten woman was that THEY might get in trouble. Ok fine, but AT LEAST call the cops.

I wouldn't harp on it so much, but this is the same guy that derided someone else on a different thread for trying to actively help a woman being beaten but now the shoe's on the other foot. Looks like karma has bitten him in the ass. We can now deride him for his action or lack thereof.

Nobody knows exactly how they would react in every situation, but imagine if it was your girlfriend being beaten; would you want tweedledee and tweedledumb fumbling around on an internet forum looking for advice, or would you want someone to actually do something to help her?

Do you know this for a fact? If he is, that's pretty pathetic. It's not exactly an issue you'd want to joke about.
