Please PM me if anyone has any information on this (Seodaemun), branch -- I received an offer with the MW 2:00-9:10, TTH 2:00-9:55, F 2:00-7:40 hours and would like to know if this ECC branch is one of the good, bad, or the ugly. Thank you.

I find it hilarious that someone would say a school is good because you "only" work one Saturday a month. It's almost as if that person thinks working Saturdays is the norm in ESL.

"Wow, the rice they give you here sure is good, and you only have to eat one bowl of vomit per month!"

I actually just started working for ECC in Daechi, like, I've been there for less than a week. The job seems fine, according to the other foreign teachers, they pay on time, and the curriculum is very much set (like, somewhat overset, in my opinion).

My only issue, and the issue that has me considering quitting is that they do vacation time really weird -- they give it to you one day at a time, instead of one week in the winter and one in the summer. And they apparantly don't even give long weekends, they give "random Wednesdays" as one of my coworkers informed me.

I worked at ECC in Busan, Deockcheon. It sucked
Two weeks of unpaid training oh i got 10,000 won a day for food and transport.
Then day one I had 8 fourty minute classes a day 5 days a week with no break and no food and only 5 minutes between classes. NO heat or aircon not to mention model lessons every Wednesday so come in an hour early for that and weekly teacher meetings don't forget to mention the piles and piles of ridiculous paper work grading journals, evaluations, checking for speaking contest, stupid lesson plans, but what takes the cake was when I had a throat infection and influenza at the same time.
My doctor said I needed to stay in the hospital one day for evaluation and take IV fluid, fevers can be serious..
The director came to the hospital and pulled me out of their telling the doctor that I had no choice but to work.
The korean teachers were very distant and didn't seem to enjoy working there either. They were always leaving before their contract was over.

I hope they paid you extra for all that teaching.
