Nobody experiencing this?
I'm seeing news of flooded streets & subway stations in Seoul. Sokcho's gotten like a couple feet of rain in the last 24 hours & its still pelting down.
Not normal. |

Two serious car accidents near from my place. Most likely from the pouring rain. |

I considered posting something this morning, but hesitated. Figured someone wittier would come along.
...guess not.
I had to march through a big old chunk of river on my way to work in the morning, not far from Gagnam Station. The Seoul photos were bad, but don't hold a candle to the Chuncheon business. |

Oddly, going by bus (5500) from Hannam-dong to Bundang took only 15 instead of the usual 20 minutes. Outbound there is less traffic than on a Sunday morning. Inbound, well... but less congested than on normal days.
The river must be at least 4 if not 5 meters over normal. It's actually moving, something it has not done in my memory! From pictures and stories of my coworkers I can be glad that I moved from Daechi to Hannam last year. It took most of them over 3 hours to commute yesterday.
Since I live up the hill near IP Hotel, how does the situation look in the low areas around Hamilton? There was a similar rain last August and sewers became fountains.
A few more days of this and Itaewon will look clean, if not sparkling! |

Are the subways/buses running more or less as normal or have services been cut back somewhat? I was hoping to hit Myeongdong tomorrow. And I hope it passes over soon enough as I'm planning to go down south in the next few days. |

Major road arteries and the subway are fine now but Wednesday morning was a bit of a disaster. |
