Wonderful advice, except that the person won't be able to get another work visa issued for 11 months.

Strange to hear this pearl of wisdom from gord after he argued so vehemently the opposite (that its fairly easy to change jobs here) on a different thread only a couple of weeks ago. Wink Rolling Eyes

Only I haven't changed my stance. If you bolt the country and come back, it's exponentially harder to get permission to get a new work visa. If it's handled before doing the bolting, it's far easier to the point I know several people personally who have done it.
