Samsung Galaxy S no contract 16gb model. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have ended up with an extra phone that I don't need. This phone has only been used for a couple of weeks and is in excellent new-like condition.
Comes with box, manuals, charging cradle & usb. PLEASE NOTE this only comes with 1 battery and I seem to have lost the charger (I will have another look for it tonight). To compensate for this I will throw in a 16gb micro sd card (taking total storage to 32gb) an extra usb cable, a jelly case and 2 new screen protectors.
Preference will be given to people meeting in INCHEON or who want the item posting (+5000won).
If you have any questions or need photos my email address is [email protected]
Thanks |

Forgot to say I don't know how much these are going for, but would be looking for at least 350k. |

Question about the GPS. Do you need the internet (either wifi or data plan) to use it? Will it work in an area with no internet signal? |

I'm guessing but if you use the GPS for something like maps or an app you would need internet connection. Where I live wifi is pretty limited so a 3G data plan would be needed. |

gps is different to 3g. u dont need an internet connection. gps communicates with low orbit satellites to triangluate ur position. 3g on the otherhand communicates with cellular towers located on buildings n hills etc. |

That's true if you are using a true GPS unit. However the GPS module in smartphones will only work with internet (3G/4G) connections as they are not true GPS modules. Some phones (Nokia N900, Bold 9700 and newer) have true modules that will display your coordinates but the one in the Galaxy S is a-GPS (assisted GPS) only which means without 3G it won't work. Even if it did, what are you going to do with your coordinates? You need a map. In order to download the map tiles you need a data connection. Since a-GPS is usually more accurate as it uses both satellites and internet data to locate your position, most smartphones use a-GPS only. |

GPS works without any internet signal. My friend uses it all the time on her Galaxy Player even when there is no WIFI around.
Also, it's possible to download the maps in Google Maps app now. Once you download the map area, you can access the map offline without any internet connection.
