I sent a notorized copy of my FBI CBC to my very kind Secretary of State. I'm from Arkansas and they could apostille the copy. I sent my original and copy to Korea and was given my E-2 visa, no problems.
Now I'm wanting to switch jobs and have some concerns. Does the ORIGINAL need to be apostilled? I mean, if KIMMI accepted the original with the apostilled copy once they should do it again. But this is Korea and when the Korean gov't is invovled you just never know. I saw on a post once upon a time that AR was a state that would issue apostilles. Am I in the clear or should I start figuring out something else?
Just when I thought I had things taken care of..... |

If you got an E-2 visa you have nothing to worry about, you don't need to submit another CBC. It's not part of the transfer process. |

Thanks for the input. Sorta freaked myself out a bit, been through so many visa processes in years past (left Korea to go home for long visits, came back on new visas) that I never really know what is going on. I was told by the education office for the Jeolla-buk Province that they need a copy of my CBC as I am not getting a LOR from my current job. Just making sure that my docs are good to go before I have to reach for my paper bag again....
Thanks again! |
