Hello,

I'm in a difficult situation right now. I've been at my school just under 6 months. The school has been pretty bad, they haven't paid into our penisions and owe a lot of money in back pay to previous teachers. 5 Korean teachers walked out of the school last week for not being paid. I told them I would complete the semester on the condition that they release me from my visa September 1st. They agreed. My problem is that I typed up the letter of release, I downloaded a sample letter - they still signed and stamped it with the official school stamp.

Now they are trying to go back on their word and say that they misunderstood that I wanted to actually quit. He even admitted that he didn't even read the letter. Can they disregard the signed letter of release by law?

Thanks.

If you signed a contract without reading it you would still be bound by it and they would have no qualms about screwing you over it.

Keep your LOR. Walk at your convenience.
