So there's an unidentifiable video, he didn't have the money on him at the scene, and others can testify to his innocence, as well as the cab driver dodging court three times. That doesn't sound like reasonable doubt to anyone else?
And really? $88 gets two years in prison? |
Did the cab driver dodge court 3 times? If that really is the case then...........................maybe it wasn't so bad after all, huh? |

Holy cow! Some people who come here really need to chill out. Ohh Boo-hoo there is another thread about this guy. Have you read the topics in the General Discussion Forum? Most of them are just plain stupid.
This is not your site, this is not you living room. If you don't like the topic, just skip it...Durp. |

@ CentralCali: Wow, i really think you managed to miscontrue the intention of my message. I am a peace-lover. That is the whole point of all my threads and posts. I have many better things to do than trying to attack you or anyone else here. I am sounding a note of concern for you guys. You really sound kind of wound up there. I really hope you can relax, unwind a little, and have a peaceful and fulfilling weekend. |
Maybe you need to work on your delivery some and perhaps even re-read what others and I have posted here. I certainly am not wound up. I am curious, though, why the same poster needs to start more than one thread on the very same issue. I'm also curious if you've done more than a cursory pass of my posts in your threads on this issue. |

"I am curious, though, why the same poster needs to start more than one thread on the very same issue."
Yeah well, we seem to have different perspectives on what the 'issue' is within my three recent threads, anyway. Yes, they all concern Andre Michael Fisher, however, they do so in three different ways, which is why i started them.
The first was an effort at research, canvassing the knowledge of posters here for which prison he might be being kept. The second was to find out if any readers here would be interested in visiting him or sending him reading materials or otherwise supporting him while inside. This one is purely to offer the opportunity for people to attend his appeal hearing, and to know the guidelines or local cultural expectations for behaviour if they do.
Any discussion that has sprung from my intentions in my original posts has been secondary to those goals. I have, however, been glad of many of the points you have raised. I think most of them have been valid, and for the others i'm probably not in any position to judge one way or the other. In one case in particular, i think it was a point you highlighted which led me to ask him to his face a pointed question, which therein uncovered an important aspect of his current situation, before that same information surfaced online elsewhere, as it did in the end (with regards the police car). So, thank you for that.
I guess i could comment on your tone too... one day. Right now, i'd really rather just go to sleep.
Good night! |

My tone? Go ahead. Make sure you stay within the TOS, as I certainly have. You've already proven, to me and at least one other person who's commented to me about your posts via PM, that you're not exactly very good at "reading tone."
Hey, here's another point nobody's raised. Fisher's been in the Army how long? If it's longer than 9 months and he's still a PVT, care to guess what that means? |

OP, I get your concern and interest in the subject... but seriously, 3 different threads were not needed. |

That he's the kind of guy who would smash the window and door of a cop car? |

Could be a demotion due to the trouble he got into. You should know it doesn't take long for that Article 15 to knock some stripes off of your chest (collar) these days. |

First off, the man's rank is PVT. PVT is pay grade E-1, PV2 is pay grade E-2, and PFC is pay grade E-3. |
centralcali, what does his rank, or lack of it, have to do with anything, here? Stick to the facts of the case and don't generalize about someone's rank. Being an E-1 private doesn't automatically mean someone is a "criminal type." Promotions can be tougher to get based on the unit or MOS (job). It happens. It's very disappointing to read someone on here twist things in that direction since many reading this thread never served in the military, and won't understand this fact. |

I'm not sure if the guy is innocent or not... not enough info out there.
And I could care less if Julian had some personal stake in this. But I agree with Cali on one point... Why the need for so many threads on this?
I'd like to see all of this, plus updates, in one thread. No need to start new ones for ever stage. |
Isn't that an issue for the mods? Besides, some mods get mad if you bump an older post, even for updates. |

Advancements to E-2 and E-3 are essentially automatic--MOS has nothing to do with it. Advancement to E-4 is a bit different. The bottlenecks on promotion come in the US Army at promotion to E-5 and above. One who is still (or again) at the grade of E-1 after two years has most likely been reduced. The fact is that the US Army lists the man's rank as PVT. That rank is pay grade E-1. I'd think the Army knows what rank its people are. And, for your information, I have served both in the Army and the Navy. |
