The earliest that typhoons hit South Korea is the second week of August, and this year is no exception. Not to say that this typhoon will hit the country, because it won't.
The tropical storm has passed Seogwipo, Jeju this morning. Some wind and sideward rain. Nothing special.
I don't think any typhoons will hit SK this year. It's once once every three to four years that ANY category typhoon actually hits land in South Korea. Instead, the fringe elements bring a bit of stormy weather.
My first year here we got Typhoon Maemi, September '03. Now THAT was a real typhoon! Only two or three typhoons have hit since. |

Must have been a different storm as Muifa been hellacious today. Also I am living off mini-mart food as nothing nearby is open. QQ
(Actually, it's been a great excuse to drink and have a Firefly mini-marathon. ^^) |

It would depend on your location and the school.
Hopefully this storm passes us by ASAP. |

Here in Ulsan the wind noise was so loud that I had to sleep with earplugs. I can't remember such a loud storm for the entire time I've been here. |

That was a doozy, eh? It knocked down a tree next to my apt in Gwangju which, in turn, took out a wire (with a nice loud bang). I have no idea what the wire was for since my apt. still has power, but it made for an entertaining Sunday afternoon! |
