I know..South Korea is special because it has four distinct seasons...
That being said, I think that - overall - Korea has the worst weather in the world..
Winter - Cold, windy, not much snow
Spring - A couple of nice weeks...yellow dust
Summer - 5 days of blue sky
Fall - A few nice weeks
What has happened to summer the last couple of years? It's depressing...And the forecast for the next 10 days - showers/rain/thunderstorms.

i think that's a bit of an over-reaction, but i will agree that the weather in this country is far from comfortable at the best of times.
we seemed to have completely missed spring this year, and winter was a solid six months.
i can think of worse countries in terms of weather, but i can certainly think of better. |

I hear that the weather in England is worse. British folks are the only people I've met in Korea who think the weather here is nice |

Do you ever read the news? I guess not. Parts of Canada and the American midwest often go above 40C in the summer and -30C in the winter. That makes Korea look quite comfortable. Parts of southeast Asia like Hanoi and Singapore regularly get 35C and nearly 100% humidity. That makes Korea look rather nice. These are just four places just off the top of my head. There are many, many worse places. |

I don't know about that. I prefer the weather back home because at least I know it's going to be consistently bad weather. |

I just got back from the west coast of Scotland. Beautiful weather. About 25C during the day with low humidity. VERY comfortable. Not to mention great food, beer, beaches, buildings, books etc. However, don't go looking for a job. And don't take a bus. Minumum fare was over 2 |

Oldtimers please chime in: is this an especially bad year?
huck: you forgot the few months of insufferable heat and humidity known as summer. |

That's because summer has become one long cloudy/rainy day with humid nights where I can sometimes see the stars...Did you hear that the rainy season ended a few weeks ago? It was even announced on the news and in the newspapers..
I've been here for a few years, and the weather has been worse the last couple of summers. |

OP: I've lived in Iraq; that country wins for horrible weather.
During the winter months, the temperature swings from 110*F to 40*F. Also, fine sand covers everything, meaning that the few times a year it rains, everything, EVERYTHING is covered in mud.
I think the weather in Korea is fine, but I actually like Seattle's weather, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. |

iv'e been here for a couple of years. My first year here, the weather was pretty good all thing considering. Spring came early, and the summer, although intolerably humid, was pretty much rain free.
this year has had easily the worst weather in my time here. |
