Last year Hannam Market in Seoul had bottles of Moosehead -- I did my best to encourage that by buying as many as I could, but sadly I haven't seen them in a long time now. Sad

Stella on tap, I really miss that. I went home for xmas and was pretty langered after only a few pints of it. Must be getting old...or too used to this weaker local beer.

I've got a question, now that it's getting pretty hot here again. Has anybody been to a place here that sells cider? (by cider I don't mean the soda drink, I the alcoholic variety made from apples). I good pint of Strongbow or Bulmer's with ice sitting outside in the sunday afternoon sun would be nice.

Every once in a while you come across a bar in Korea that has an amazing selection of beer from outside of this box. The problem is with the distribution network. It is shaky, to say the least. For the longest time I drank beck's dark, then the old bar's distributor stop caring it, and I couldn't drink it any more, (at least there). I ask for it, but the owner wouldn't get, because then he would had to have changed his distributor in which he built up a relationship with and got good deals from. It is wacky I tell you, but what can you do?

Went to a bar last night, one of us ordered Budweiser and was given a bottle with Budweiser labels, but closer inspection showed up the OB logo stamped into the glass!
Shocked

It was a terrible bar too, stank of paint, chipped glasses.

i'm pretty sure Bud is distributed by OB here in Korea...which explains the OB bottle...since they only steam clean the bottles here rather than melt them down.

Isn't that how they clean most returnable beer bottles? I'm pretty sure the ones in Canada aren't melted down for reuse. Is this not quite normal in other countries?

i'm pretty sure in the states, they melt the glass down to be made into other glass or use it as asphalt filling etc.
