I'm listening a lot to the following three albums:
Maybeshewill's I Was Here For a Moment, Then I Was Gone. It's not as good as the first two albums but still pretty good. I'd recommend checking out this
song from the album.
Mogwai's Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. Again, not as good as previous efforts, but still worth a listen.
Cave In's Antenna. A cracking album. |

The sound of 14 running metal grinders being pushed at full force into a steel girder, all compiled into one track, EQ'd and balanced. I listen to it for hours on end as loud as possible so all my neighbors can hear it. |

marsavalanche,
I like the beatles and appreciate the legend but whole albums have never captured me. Will revisit the albums sporadically but have a playlist of favourite tracks.
Runaway is filed under epic. Aren't many hip hop albums I can listen to all the way through barring early Nas, GZA and Wu Tang.
morrisonhotel,
You sent me the instrumental version! I'm not into instrumentals in isolation, apart from this

Metronomy - Nights Out, one of my favourite albums
Gorf,
You're listening to one track on loop, branch out fella |

I don't get it. If any of them were ugly they wouldn't get in the group would they? Is it tongue in cheek? I listened to it, trying to like it but the song had no tune. If you want real angst and rejection listen to Morrissey.
'There's a club if you'd like to go, you could meet somebody who really loves you. So you go and you stand on your own and you leave on your own, and you go home and you cry and you want to die. '
Or Radiohead
I'm a freak, I'm a weirdo, what the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here.
These guys are believable. Thom Yorke is genuinely odd looking and Morrissey, while being an icon in the image department, was socially so inept he was almost impossible to work with. Only his, IMO, musical genius allowed him to be successful for so long. The complete antithesis of K pop artists by the sound of it. Apologies if you already know it but there's so much better music out there.
Nice gag about the riots by the way, though, as i'm sure you know, the vid was a reference to Terminator 1 |

But Thom Yorke is clearly a K-pop fan. Look at this recent video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfOa1a8hYP8
Its obvious that Thom's Choreographer and stylist in this video is the same guy who does G-Dragon... and G-Dragon had the style first so Thom was just jumping on the bandwagon!!!

I've talked to so many Koreans who don't like 2ne1 because two of the members are ugly. Minzy and CL.
I am most likely reading too much into the video, but it seems like an F-U to the people who have hated on them. Right now, they might be the most popular group in Korea, and one of the most popular groups in Asia, even though they are so "ugly." Look at how they spray over all of those signs.
As far as what I'm listening to- Black Dahlia Murder's new one, 2NE1, Ratat, and the sound track to the 1990's movie "Glory Daze." |

the reason my students give for not liking 2ne1 is that they act like boys. lol they kind of do come off looking like American rappers. I feel really embarrassed for them when I see their videos. |
