Thinking of buying a Korean one as I might be here for another year. If there's a good one for slightly less than a mil, that'd be good.
Any suggestions? I looked around a few places but nothing has jumped out at me yet.
Not necessarily looking for high-speed gaming but it should run videos smoothly.
Thanks |

you after mac or windows?
a used 2010 macbook pro can be found for around 1million...
if your after windows, it might work best if you go to a computer market (such as yongsan in seoul, or Myungryung in busan) and talk to someone there about what you want.. the one in busan has a guy who speaks excellent english. You can even get one built to you needs for the same price as buying one.
hope this helps! |

I would just walk around Yongsan, Technomart, or any place with lots of laptops and look and touch as many as you can.
Shop for spec, not for brand. All the major laptop manufacturers are putting out consistently good quality products these days......with all the same parts inside. Just try to get the best CPU/RAM/HDD configuration for your 1mill.
I personally would not buy a netbook because I don't believe it's a burden to carry a 14''-15'' laptop around now and then.....the netbook format seems useless to me unless the user is a quite weak person who will be carrying around their computer for hours every day and needs extreme portability. |
