Quote:
An employee of a tenant in Techno-Mart, a 39-story shopping mall and office building complex in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, reported experiencing a vertical tremor Thursday to 119 emergency call centers, officials said.

The call to the emergency services, which came more than one month after a jolt forced thousands of shoppers and residents to evacuate the building, once more caused a nearby fire station to dispatch rescue vehicles and dozens of personnel to the scene.

At around 11:04 a.m., the worker on the 33rd floor called 119 emergency services, reporting that he felt the building moved up and down. People between the 24th and 34th floors reportedly felt the vibration.

OMG

Quote:
At the time of the reported shaking, about 10 people were riding exercise bikes at a sports center located on the 12th floor.

That's all it took?

Well that's a building to avoid. I'll be getting my overpriced electronics elsewhere.

And I challenge these reporters to walk into Technomart - the REAL Technomart, not the office building attached to its side - und use an elevator to any floor above, say 8 or 9.

They won't find one. And that's because after the last electronics floor (Cool there's a food court floor (9) and the movie theatre floor (10) and the rooftop garden. And above the rooftop garden is the sky.

There are no electronics sold in the 39 floors of office tower next to Technomart. The main risk would thus be that of the office building falling onto the electronics mall.

Ultimately maybe not a major issue but imagine Korean reporters had stated that 2 planes flew into WTC 4 on 9-11 Rolling Eyes

Maybe they just forgot to check the name of the office building (I can't remember it myself but I think it has something to do with Tomato Bank).

Get the feeling that if someone runs on the escalator the entire building will collapse?

Anyone who still enters that building after all these recent reports is crazy.

Maybe the employee just wanted to get off work early. Who knows if it was a real tremor or just the product or an underworked imagination?
