Hello I'm just curious how long it took others to receive their disclosure, I have almost been waiting a month.

Also this may be a good warning to others who are applying for their disclosures now apparently they are busy... weird when most the job involves printing out and posting Smile just a little frustrated i guess.

I've had a number of Disclosure Scotland's and they have normally taken 2 weeks. If you have had more address they may take longer. They once told me that September/October was busy because they were processing lots of applications for people who had jobs as Santa Clauses in various shopping centres.

I have mine done multiple times now, most taking about a maximum of two weeks, sometimes less. A month is definitely way too long, I'd give them a call and see what the holdup is.

I have phoned twice, they seem oblivious to the fact that other people need these pieces of paper to get work. Smile 3 weeks in and they hadn't even started and quoted me they had no idea how long it would take.... had to stay calm and not say "Can't i just go in and use the single computer program and print out"

Thinking i should ask them to do the check for free as i have had nothing but hassle and I'm losing employment chances because of this

If you're desperate and you shout at them a lot, you can go to their offices in Glasgow and pick it up within a day or two.

I got mine in last week, took about 10 days. They should never take longer than 2 weeks unless you've gotten yourself an advanced disclosure.

I've been waiting 3 weeks for mine (technically it's only been 15 working days), I'm going to give them a call if it doesn't arrive by Tuesday.

I received my certificate in the post this morning, happy days? No.

They've completely ignored the request I made to get it stamped and signed by their notary, so now I'm stuck with a useless piece of paper.

I've just emailed a complaint, maybe they'll send a properly signed one out to me.

Mad

At least you got the document, i got promised it today and it is still not here... can't you just take it to a solicitor for a few 's, because you may be sitting waiting once again.

I've read that people have had difficulties getting solicitors to notarise the Disclosure Scotland certificate.

I've sent an email to a local solicitor to ask about the cost and mentioned the Disclosure, so hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow. If I'm able to do this and it's not too expensive then I'll probably take this route.

It's just annoying to have the extra hassle and needless cost because the disclosure guys don't seem to have a solid system in place to deal with these requests.

A new maybe strange question, Does the Disclosure come in a A4 envelope or does it come in a normal envelope... my disclosure has been posted but it is now been 3 days in "first Class".

The more i am pushed the more i want out of this country
