Hooray, both parks will ban smoking from next month (September) and will join the list of parks where smoking is banned (Yeouido, World Cup and Seonyudo). The Seoul city government will publicize the ban from September through November and from December, a violation will result in a 100,000 won fine.

Smoking is banned at Gwanghwamun, Seoul and Cheonggye Stream plazas as well.

I'm pretty sure it's been banned at Grand Park for a long time, or at least very heavily restricted.

I wish they'd stop it out on the street. So f'ing crowded you can't get around anyone, and it sucks to have to walk behind smokers.

A business is not a public place. Certainly not bars and night clubs.

But yeah, the government should just man up and ban tobacco outright. Substance bans having worked so well in other areas.

Oh yeah, If you want to spew exhaust from your motor vehicle, do it in the privacy of your garage. I'm entitled to a smoke-free environment.

There was a no smoking area at my bus terminal but I didn't like to go there because it was always too smokey.
