What a Korean American friend told me about booking clubs:
It�s best to negotiate the total cost with the waiter at the very beginning. Two guys who go to a booking club may spend something like 500k-600k which includes a generous tip for the waiter. Larger groups of guys may spend as much as 2 million. The waiter is expected to continuously bring girls to guys� tables. A waiter should never let a guy be alone for more than 5 minutes at a time. Girls who are not good looking will often be refused entrance. Guys who go to these clubs are paying a lot of money to meet good looking girls. A girl will often pretend to resist when being dragged to a guy's table but everyone knows it�s an act. Sex in booking clubs is possible and does happen. A guy may move the sofa in front of the door to prevent anyone from entering the room or take the girl in the bathroom (most rooms have their own bathroom). A waiter that is happy with his tip is not going to protest. Motels are also everywhere and often a booking club is connected to a motel. It's the Korean version of speed dating. |

500-600k?????????? WTF! Not that I know, but I do know...a prostitute goes for about 70,000 won for 30 minutes....
Hmmm 3 1/2 hours of straight sex with a prostitute or, the possibilty of sex....seems like an easy choice. |

Well I guess it's like fishing vs buying fish at the supermarket. Buying it is far more economical, so why do people fish?
Or maybe it's like fishing with a guide. The scales are tipped in your favor a bit. |

Well, aren't you the queen of kindness? How about this new philosophy? If you don't like a guy, don't accept anything from him. Just typical of some Western women who want equality when it benefits them but don't want equality when it actually means they have to do something for themself. As for the OP, stay out the booking clubs if you don't want to be booked!! Duh!! |
