| I want to renew my contract which up in 2 months, but I do not have an FBI background check done. Will I be able to work without this, or not? Thanks. |

Maybe.
It depends on:
when and what kind of CBC you submitted last time,
whether it had an apostille, notarization or nothing,
whether or not you were warned or told that you would need one and
whether or not you had a change of status since Jan 2011.

| none of these apply to me. I know that I will eventually need one because of the knew restrictions, but I just wanted to know if I need to just to work into the new contract. |

| Have you submitted an FBI CBC at all? If you haven't you're SOL, because getting one ran and apostilled will take much longer than 2 months if you're doing it from Korea. You might want to start looking at plane tickets home. |
