So, my girlfriend and I are leaving for Korea in a week and a half and are wondering about the best way to communicate with each other before getting our ARCs. As I understand it, we won't be getting internet, cable, cell phones and bank accounts without these, and I'm just trying to figure out how we'll be able to talk to each other before getting them. I've rented a phone from the airport for a few weeks before (complete ripoff) and I'd prefer not to do it again. We'll both be in the maseok area of namyangju, so I'm not sure I can rely on public wi-fi.

Any suggestions?
