I recorded some things on a Korean camcorder. Now, I cannot convert the Korean .avi to English or Korean .wmv. I tried using several English convertors but they won't work. So, I downloaded a codec pack (though it might not be the right one because I know nothing about this stuff) and still nothing.
Can anyone help me?! |

I'm pretty sure the language is immaterial here. A Korean-bought camcorder will record a video file in just the same way as a camcorder bought anywhere.
What software are you using? |

To convert? I tried Realplayer convertor and 2 other random ones that I found online. All three of these work when I try to convert other files on my computer... it's strange beause even the .avi files only work on my computer at school (Korean computer). |

Windows Live Moviemaker will do it, and it's free. |

Almost definitely a codec issue. Probably have an outdated codec on your computer. Google combined community codec pack. Should allow the file to be played on your computer. |
