Actually, it hasn't been sold, just deleting this topic as I have no intention of selling my computer any longer. Would rather keep it than see it go for so low a price! Cool

So, I'm thinking of selling my rather awesome iMac computer as I've been having very difficult issues with eye strain. A big 24-inch screen is honestly too much for me, and my eyes twitch, turn red, feel a burning sensation, and just can't take it. Other people don't seem to have this problem. Then again, I guess others don't spend hours producing music... So I'm going to switch to a Macbook 17-inch or smaller. Back in my 17-inch days, never had a problem with eye-strain. So, I feel I should give this computer to someone who could actually be OK with it.

Since it has never had a problem, and is in perfect 'brand new' condition (I treat my electronics better than my women!) I would sell it for 75% of the price I originally bought it for. I think that is fair with an Apple product. But $2000 from $2,700 still seems like a bit too much. Maybe $1,900?

I should add that it still has world-wide apple-care protection for another year exactly.

Here are the specs:

*Bought in 2009, August
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 24-inch
8GB RAM 1333 MHz DDR3
1 Terrabyte Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT130]

... treated with the utmost respect. Music producers, such as myself, do NOT mess with computers.

It's got everything else you'd expect it to have. Very good computer. Ultra-fast, all updated OSX, and would come with the original box, never-used mouse, keyboard, etc.

Oh, and I guess I would be asking for 1,900,000 won. Dunno if that is asking for too much. To be honest, I'd rather just keep it around than sell it for less.

The only fair price is market value.

I don't know what it is with people and comparing what they paid for something and how much they're selling it for now. It doesn't matter.

Market value of your computer is probably between 600-800 usd.

while i wouldn't go as low as 600 your computer simply isn't worth a dime over 800.

there is this unfortunate fool who continues to try and sell his 24' imac on craigslist for 1400-1500 and its been posted for months. he just doesn't seem to get it.

Yeah, to me, 800,000 won just doesn't cut it. I'd rather just keep it and use it as a T.V. / gaming computer. I had always planned on keeping the computer 5 years or more. Guess I will have to do that.

Well, thanks for the interest and info people, I'll take this off the buy and sell / trade forum now.

I had a friend who had a similar 24" imac and he sold it in May. I believe he got 1.4KRW for it. Check out fleebay and price it with it in mind because most people are selling it at market value. 800,000KRW seems a little low in my opinion.
