My newer job is wonderment, but that was the condition of employment(don't need a debate about pension). However if I want to pick up my previous two years of employment would there be any problems?

Yes. You can't collect on pension until you leave the country. Along with all needed documentation (to claim pension) you must show them an airline/ferry ticket out of Korea.

And wouldn't he also have a problem when he does leave and they ask him why he hasn't been paying into pension for the last year?

I heard you can pay the difference and then you recieve it right back(since it's your pension money). Is it still true?

I just wanna make sure my pension money doesn't disappear in the system(I know it's there since I was public school for years). I've transferred visas a few times, but never canceled one or applied for a new one.

Regardless of what is states in your contract, pension contributions are mandatory. You and your boss will have issues when you go to collect. Don't let him screw you out of that money.. it is significant!

The sweeter, nicer jobs with better conditions tend to eschew this(for tax reasons). I also had some short term E-2 visa contract jobs(it's possible) where the pension wasn't a factor.

Hey OP, if you think sweet and awesome jobs for which the employers don't offer pension are the way to go, then feed the beast, but don't look for advice on how to have it both ways. Chumps like you are the reason so many teachers have to contend with shady directors who don't offer the proscribed pension and health care. It's all about you and only you. You took the pension when it suited you, but some jobs are just "too sweet" for you to keep things lawful..... Go pound sand, pal.
