I'm headed to Korea in the next couple of days. Got a ticket, F-4 visa, and starting to pack.
I read that I need to have some passport photos ready to go so that I can get my ARC card. My question is does it matter what dimensions they are? Will US style 2"x2" work? If not, I'm not sure where to get the smaller dimension photos here in the states. Will it be cool to just wait to get the photos done while in Korea?
Also, if there is anything else you think I should be aware of regarding immigration, please let me know. I didn't have a recruiter for my job so I'm having to figure out a lot of stuff on my own. I really have no idea what the process entails.
Thank you. |

For the photos, just wait till you get here. 10k won in any photo shop (they are all over) or 3-5k won in any photo machine in many subway stations. The commonly used size is 3.5.*4.5cm. If it is the wrong size they will just trim it to fit. You're not at home anymore.
If you have an F4 there is nothing else to worry about (in terms of immigration) other than getting your ARC after you get here.
application, passport, photo, 10k won, 1 hour of your time at immigration and a 6 week wait for it to be made and sent to you.
Dealing with your employer is another matter and is circumstance dependent.
