So what are the best cities in terms of location, people, activities etc?
Preferably beach locations with a cosmopolitan mix with loads of outdoor activities... (So very general requirements.)

Basically I have no clue as to what is what.

Please help!

If you absolutely must live near a beach, Busan and Incheon seem to be your best bets. However, as a native Floridian, I caution you, Korean weather only accomodates beach bums maybe 4-5 months of the year.

If you want to actually SWIM, water temps at Korean beaches are only warm enough for 1-2 months.

Busan is nice in summer and doesn't get too cold in winter.

We have different ideas of what a good temp for swimming is then. then again I am Canadian! Laughing

You can swim in Busan in confortable water from May to late September. The official swimming season is typically from June to September however.

The florida dude has a different set of references of course as he comes from a warmer clime.

Yeah Patrick, I smiled! It's definitely all relative. I've surfed the North Sea (you know, between Scotland and the Arctic) in Dec/Jan so I reckon it'll be ok. How cold are we talking?

Busan beaches are quite warm in May, the water is cool, not cold.
