I am interested in finding a dentist who has American credentials and speaks English. Hopefully, the person's rates are affordable.
Thanks... |

I was every happy with Hus-Hu Dental clinic. They have offices in Gangnam and Bundang. I went to the one in Bundang, but the dentists in Gangnam seems to have more American training. I was quite happy with my visit.

Hus Hu billed me 300,000 won extra. I cannot recommend them. |

I second this. I went here last April for a cleaning and had a good experience, then referred two friends and they both were happy with it too. One friend had two fillings and she said everything went fine. I don't remember how much the fillings cost her but my cleaning was only 60,000 KRW. Way reasonable compared to home. |

Tufts is great for general cleaning but she wants a lot of money for other things like crowns, bridges, and replacing teeth.
Hard to blame her prices given her location. That office must cost serious bank, given its location in the vicinity of Coex Mall.
Can anyone recommend a good place for more serious work like that which doesnt charge excessive prices? |

I have a question,
Is basic dentistry covered by some kind of insurance if we're public school employees? I don't have any sort of health care card. |

No, very little if any.
In fact the dentists association in Korea even lobbies against using flouride in water because it would cut their business by as much as 40% based on other countries results.
OK, now the anti-flouride nutjobs can come out of the woodwork and flame away. |

Okay, you got me there. I should have said "Would you recommend any good dentists?". Colloquially many people do say what I say in North America all the time.
How much does the lady with the certification from Tufts charge for say crowns? In the US that can cost you 900 bucks or so per tooth. |

I went to the dentist above Seoul Pub in Itaewon and he was pretty good. Root canal treatment covered somewhat by NHP but crown wasn't. Crown cost about 400,000. |
