|
|
I'm just trying to get my documents together to return to Korea.
I hear now that Korean immigration will only accept an apostilled copy your degree.
I had my degree copied and certified by a UK solicitor for 5 but when sending it to the government to be apostilled they said that they couldn't do it.
Can someone who has done this in the UK recently please tell me exactly what information the solicitor they used put on their degree copy?
Cheers |

"I certify that this is a true copy of a genuine document."
dated, signed personally by solicitor, stamped with solicitors' office stamp.
Send that for apostille. |

Setaro did they do that for you for around 5? I heard that they aren't allowed to charge much more than that.
The first one I had done wasn't signed personally by the solicitor and only had there office stamp. I think they didn't have a clue about what they were doing! |

Yes, it cost 5 or 6 pound, no more, took all of 2 minutes too. But the solicitor DOES need to personally sign it, not just the office stamp, or the apostille office will reject it. |

Mine was stamped signed and dated all for about 5.
Public Notary is not require, they will charge you a lot more. If I was you I'd double check with the FCO exactly why they could do the apostille. But I'd guess it's because it wasn't signed. |
