Man I just read some of the responses on Korean Sentry in regard to the video. Some of them pissed me off so much I had to close the page.
That site has got to be one of the biggest collection of ignorant racists outside of the KKK. Shameful, shameful group of people. |

Well, I don't know where this website is, but I can tell you that there are people with different mindsets that could be normal to them, but abormal to you. You can't really change how a group of people think of another groups of people.
As intelligent as we human beings are, we can be much more heartless, ignorant, and violent than any other beasts. |

Newsflash everyone: Why didn't the bus driver stop the bus and call the cops? I see them stop the bus to smoke a cig often enough! |
No need for the driver to stop. I've seen a few bus drivers smoking while they're driving their route. |

to my understanding KS is a group of Koreans who moved overseas to other countries, whine (in English) about Korea and how foreigners are ruining their beloved homeland. |

@highstreet
If it was about being quiet then the point still stands if it wasn't then its not important. The point being unless he was being ridiculously loud no one has a right to tell him to be quiet.
As for the wider implications, this act of stupidity is only going to reinforce the warped prejudices of the already prejudiced. I doubt the majority of amicable well balanced Korean people are going to react in any way at all. |

It's more like the Korean version of Stormfront. |

I think this would be a pretty accurate assessment.
And boy, do they love me over there. Love me so much, they're still quoting me! |

I read some of the Korean news articles and it says his name is "h" and he is a 27 year old American English teacher. And, that he was booked at the local police station in Bundang... just to clarify some things... |

Do you think this incident will have any bearing on Korean education institution hiring Americans? |

My coworker helped me with this, but the gist of it says that some of the people on the bus AGREE with the black guy - the old man was being rude. Also, there apparently was some confusion over the word "니가" (you). The women was also just another person on the bus, and she was telling BOTH of them not to fight.
It's good to see Koreans backing up a foreigner, even though he definitely went over the line in the end. |

No, I doubt that it would, it is unfortunate, but I can't imagine it will influence hiring decisions... |

Even though those on the bus actually backed him up, that still doesn't make his actions the right one. The issue is to ignore it, hold your head up and move on. Don't punch an old man.
There are worse things a Korean can call you that doesn't sound like 니가. I've heard them in church. |
