There's no hard evidence that any race is genetically inferior. And since the West is multiethnic, it could be really offensive to suggest as much.

I understand where Fox is coming from, but as far as a board having rules and limits on speech, this one seems reasonable.

Politcally correct status quo? Where do I do that. I think that whoever reported you was doing that, sure. It is weird that this was brought up after 8 months. If you can't see how a statement about biology and culture being the main reason that Africa is where it is could be considered racist, or at the very least have racial undertones, then you're kidding yourself.

Now if you were being serious and not petty, then let me say that I do not support the status quo as far as aid goes. It needs to be changed, stop giving to to ineffective governments and start giving it to local groups and tribes and stop using it in a political manner. Fox, I do think that in most regards you are a reasonable poster, but when ever blacks come up your style changes. You focus very narrowly on culture, and you become more emotional and use more personal attacks than on any other topic.

For thoose people serious about learning about why it isn't merely culture that affects these post colonial states, but rather a forced adoption of the western nation state that is causing havock read The coming Anarchy by Robert Kaplan.

I think people need to realise that a lot of so-called aid is really military aid, or comes with strings attached such as concessions to foreign businesses or changes in labour laws. Such 'aid' as this would be better described as 'harm'.

Africa, for instance, has received a lot of 'harm' over the years.

Racism is a violation of the TOS. To suggest that Africans are racially inferior because of an IQ test or current or recent past state is rather offensive.

I don't believe I used the term "racially inferior" -- or any variant thereof -- a single time in that post (or in fact, in my entire posting tenure here).

Nothing I've ever written here states or even suggests that anyone is less than human. Suggesting the possibility of genuine biological differences between individuals of different ethnicity is not dehumanizing, especially when it's done purely in passing and in a data-driven fashion. Difference does not automatically entail disparity.

I understand you no doubt get a number of complaints about my posts on these topics, and I could probably guess exactly from whom they came. I'm asking that you reconsider the validity of those complaints in light of the actual content of my posts.

Nothing I've said here is racist.

I don't think you get it. Do you think some of us are stupid? When you go into biology to explain why many African states are not advanced technologically, you're going down a slippery slope. It reminds me of some old Arabic account some Arab wrote centuries ago where he talked about European Caucasians who were not so advanced technologically, and he mentioned biology, too. I believe his name was Said Al Andalusi and was mentioned in one of the texts by Dr. Philip K. Hitti, a Lebanese scholar.

Do not touch on biology and human beings in this way. Make your arguments without that.

I admit that the earth has many properties similar to a sphere, but I would of course never imply that it's not flat.

If it's an offence in this forum to mention that some races may have different characteristics (for example sun tolerance, immune system, height, ability to excel at running, and other characteristics which are more difficult to measure) then that's within the rights of the forum moderators, but it will somewhat limit the discussion based on political correctness. I would like to support Fox', but I also understand that it's easier for the forum to avoid the topic completely.

It's one thing to mention that if you're Caucasian, you may acquire Lieber's vision disease, but not if you're African, you are going to have sickle anemia possibly if you're of African ancestry, not if you're Caucasian, you are more likely to be lactose intolerant if you're from Africa or East Asia than if you're from Northern Europe. You're more likely to have Tay Sachs disease if you're an Ashkenazi Jew, and you won't have it if you're a Mizrahi Jew. That's different than saying Africans are technologically backward due to their biology. Someone reading that would feel that someone is saying that black people are inferior. How woudl you feel if you were black and reading that or someone with African-American loved ones and friends? You would be understandably upset about that.

And here you're making another judgment call about inferiority versus superiority by saying there is a dearth of interesting posters. Interesting to which person? To you? You think you're better than those posters, obviously. You are stating that the many posters here are somehow not as interesting as you. We've got a TOS and whether it's prejudicial posts against whites by African Americans and Koreans, or Caucasians vis-a-vis Koreans or African Americans etc..., then we have to enforce the TOS on the issue. People can discuss race relations without bringing in biology for non-medical purposes. It's reasonable for us to state that.
