Could you be a bit more specific?
What do you want it for - hiking/sports/outdoor stuff or driving? Portable or not? |

If you have (or are considering getting) a smart phone, the T-Map app for Android works very well. Not sure about the I Phone. That was part of the reason I got a smart phone, to replace the ancient / failing navigation system I had. |

My cell contract is actually up next March, but we're getting a car Friday. I'm undecided about getting a smart phone, becuase I don't think I need the technology, though I'll probably end up getting one since it will run me about the same I'm paying now.
Still, I need a GPS now. I'm horrible at directions and pregnant and can't imagine anything worse than getting lost while in labour.
If I get a smart phone, I can still use the GPS for 6 months and then sell it. |

The best way would be to get a smart phone and use it as a navigation device. You don't have to leave it in the car, handy, & does the job.
My navi got stolen from my car over night in Seoul, so i started using my Galaxy S for the purpose, initially concerned the screen might be smaller but later saw it does the job well.
Additionally, the T-Map automatically updates the version whereas you need to painfully update a GPS device, in case you don't then be ready to miss speed cameras or end up in a rice field Moreover, all android based phones (not sure about iPhone) run 3D maps, while a Navigation device supporting 3D goes well beyond 275K.
Without giving a second thought, i would go for a Smart Phone and save myself the trouble of getting a used Navigation, where both the H/W & S/W are questionable.....
To conclude, i love my Galaxy S, & 'T' maps ^^ |

I don't really have the time or money for a smart phone now. I'm getting a car in two days and need something now. I'll wait for my cell contrct to run out then get a smart phone. Like I said, I'm sure I can sell the GPS in the spring.
I've found one with English and Korean maps and voice for 200k, works for me. |
