At least 83 Guatemalans are thought to have died not long after being deliberately infected with syphilis and gonorrhoea in the 1940s, a presidential commission in Washington has heard.

US government scientists infected hundreds of Guatemalan prisoners, psychiatric patients and sex workers to study the effects of penicillin.

None of those infected consented.

The US employed thousands of former Nazis in Latin America and elsewhere, as well as scientists from the notorious Japanese Unit 731.

The latter were probably used during the Korean War to create epidemics of haemorrhagic fever.

Ah yes, government sponsored medical research, we must always remember that government always does good things, like socialist security that has destroyed more than 500 million jobs around the world and bankrupted the country; the federal reserve that has devalued the dollar by almost 99% now since 1913 and destroyed the american middle class; the federal reserve again for monetary cycles that cause recessions, depressions, resource misallocation, and along with minimum wage laws, welfare, regulations and taxes cause all of our unemployment; rural electrification and free roads that cause urban sprawl, pollution, trillions of dollars in misalocated infrastructure resources, 50% overconsumption of energy, the destruction of the solar and windpower industries and caused high oil prices that support dictators and create war in the middle east, and lets us not overlook the wars, victims of social engineering and victimless crime laws, the war on drugs ...

Yes, drink your soma and remember ...
