I'm kind of on the big side. According to my medical check up that I got when I got here 8 weeks ago I'm 194.6cm (about 6'4.5) and I weigh in at 118kg's (about 260lbs).
My pants size back at home is 34x34 (But they're a bit snug in the waste these days.... maybe a 36x34 would be a better fit)
I don't know what my shirt size is but I have long arms
Shoe size 320mm (USA 14)
I need new clothes. Should I just get it sent from home? Any suggestions on places to shop would help. I'm looking for specific places where I can buy nice clothes.
Thanks..
P.S. I am on a diet |

Depends on what you're looking for. I'm at 200cm, 100kilo and don't fit into much Korea stuff. Sometimes I can find a collared shirt that fits OK, but otherwise, nothing fits appropriately. And definitely no pants at that length or shoes.
You can head to Itaewon, where there are some tailors, or the western sports stores (Nike, Adidas). If you want/need that kind of stuff, there you go. But, I found that for shoes, they carried big sizes only of the BASKETBALL shoes. I was unable to buy a pair of running shoes. Not to mention it's pricy compared to a lot of what is found throughout the rest of Korea.
I'll watch this thread--do let us know if you find anything more reasonable. |

^ That sounds close to my experiences with buying shoes. I'm a US 13. I haven't found anything that fits. |

Good luck finding anything in Korea. I just order stuff and have it shipped. It's expensive sometimes but there is no real alternative. Especially if you live outside of Seoul. |

Eastbay has a lot of big sizes and they're pretty simple to order from. Also, you can search online for their discount codes to take away some of the cost of shipping. Check out customs fees, though... |

I'm a lean 6'9 (2.05m) so I made sure that all my suitcases when I came over were filled with clothes. I did find a nice collared Evisu shirt at Gimpo that fits me. It is long enough that it fits, but just an inch or so shorter than I like. |

Most of you guys sound like your tall and have found a few shirts. Try being big and fairly tall (6'4) It ain't happening. |

+1
I have everything sent to me and had to bring suitcases here over the weight limit. Knew I wouldn't be able to buy anything here. |

oh wow this is not encouraging.
I've been into the Nike/Adidas stores in Itaewon and I didn't see anything even close. I knew it would be difficult but its even more slim pickings then I thought.
Thanks for the responses. If i find anything I will bump this thread |

And the realization sets in. I can barely find things back home in stores much less here. |

I'm 6'6" - 240lbs and have found 'some' clothes in Itaewon. They usually have 2xl when I'm looking for 3xl. There are some stores in Dongdaemun that have big guy stuff. It's on the second floor of a yellow building near the pet street. |
